Of course, you can make a logo for free. Maybe you’re a natural and manage to impress with your design. For most of us, it can be quite a job to do yourself.

Does your blog need a logo?
On my first affiliate blog sites, I used logos designed by myself. For free of course. I used a bit of Canva, some Word and Paint. Being the creative woman as I am, I was thinking ‘yeh I’m not gonna spend my money on this’. The logos were ok, that’s all I can say (or maybe less than OK).
After a year or so I focused myself more on the SEO of my blogs. The logos seem to become less important. As I was changing between themes I even had a time when some of my sites had no logo at all. I wasn’t too worried about it because I wanted my visitors to be swept off their feet with my words. My logo shouldn’t be of that great importance to them after all.

Now I have logos on my blog sites again. Still, I made them myself. And they’re still only just OK to my opinion. At least for the purpose of my sites, attracting lots of visitors who spend some time and then click on one of my links.
I do want to let someone design a few logos for me. It will make me feel more proud to have a realy nice logo on my sites.
I can imagine if you have a personal blog or program, you would want to spend some time and money on your looks, which includes a good logo. Maybe you want it right from the start or a bit later on, so you really know what your logo should look like.
If you are a beginner with a WordPress blog I would advise you not spending too much of your time worrying and working on your logo. Just focus on your content.
Can you make a logo yourself?
As I mentioned, and as many other bloggers and affiliate marketers will, you surely can make a logo yourself. And you can make it for free as well.
How to make a logo for free? If you want it free and super simple my advice is to use Canva. You can use a free account, which of course has its limitations. But it will give you enough for a simple design. You may wanna use fonts only, or a combination of fonts with an image. Whatever you think is right for your blog.
If you’re looking for a more pro version of your logo you can either take the time to do it yourself. If you don’t feel up to it I would look for a designer. You’ll find a designer on Fiverr (a marketplace for freelance services). Just have a look at the previous work of the designer to see if it’s to your liking. You can decide on the price upfront. Of course, there are many more places you can find a designer for your logo.
